Cohort

Email signature, unread notes and registration date

Emails you send to students from Cohort — messages, scheduled reminders and attendance-form emails — end with the college's signature. Set it under Settings → Branding → Email signature (paste the one you use in your CRM); until then Cohort uses the college's name and contact details. New notes on a student are marked New in red, with a count on the Students menu and the Students list, until someone clicks "Mark as read" (or "Mark all as read") on that student's page. Because the office shares one login, "read" is for everyone: once marked, the note shows who marked it and when. Notes are for staff only — students never see them. Students see new announcements in bold, with a count on the Announcements menu, until they open it. Record the date a student signed their enrollment under the enrollment → Edit contract → Registration date; it shows on the enrollment as "Registered".

Cohort is the student information system for Canadian private career colleges.
